Provides a place for Friends to express peace and justice concerns while using Quakerism as a guide.
About our committee:
The Peace & Justice Committee creates a place where people can express concerns related to peace and justice throughout the world. Using Quaker process, we use the following queries to guide us: How do we live with an open heart in the midst of so much suffering? What concerns in the world move us toward collective action, reflective seeking and strengthened relationships that allow us to experience God.
Why members serve:
“Quakers have a long history of responding to the world’s suffering and injustice in a way that recognizes that of God in everyone. For me the Thursday morning Jericho walks provide a time of silent prayer for all immigrants and their families as well as ICE workers and their families.”
